Bitcoin Association has published its 2021 – 2022 annual report video, detailing the phenomenal growth made by the organisation in the last year and its goals for the future.
The video report, introduced by Bitcoin Association’s Managing Director Patrick Prinz, is broken into individual sections and covers the multi-faceted global programme of work undertaken by the Association over the last 12 months.
Chapter 8 of the report focuses on the great work done by the Technical Standards Committee over the last year. The Technical Standards Committee promotes technical excellence and further increases Bitcoin SV’s utility by enhancing interoperability through standardisation, facilitating industry participation in the development of global standards and ensuring technical standards are maintained and freely available.
Notably, the Technical Standards Committee released its 2021 annual report over this period, outlining its mission and current focus. The group also released an organisational roadmap outlining its goals up to 2023. The roadmap aims to provide clear technical direction for the industry at large, in line with the committee’s mission to promote technical excellence and improve the utility of Bitcoin SV by enhancing interoperability through standardisation.
It is intended to help people navigate emerging standards and includes several proposed areas for future development based on feedback received from stakeholders.
