2021 was a huge year for us, we grew from a team of 25 to 190+ BANXA-NIAN’S! We’re a global team spanning across 10 countries, with 4 offices, in Australia, Lithuania & Philippines. The majority of the team sits in Melbourne at our Australian headquarters in Cremorne, however our connected and collaborative culture empowers our people to excel no matter where they’re based in the world. Your New Gig

To power the global adoption of crypto, BANXA has grown exponentially, due to this hyper growth, we’re searching for our Head of Global Operations who will be accountable for the day to day operations of BANXA across all geographies and time zones. As the 2IC to the COO, this is an opportunity to influence and leave your imprint within a global scaling business; working with leaders across our main business units, ensuring BANXA is providing a service that is seamless, customer centric & efficient.

What You’ll Do

Geographies 

  • Developing and executing on the strategy for Banxa’s global operations.
  • Accountability for the performance of Banxa’s global operations team.
  • Collaborating with the Global Expansion team to support the establishment and scaling up of operational processes in new markets.

 

Fulfilment 

  • Ensuring all fulfilment wallets always have sufficient liquidity.
  • Working with the Fulfilment team to ensure that failed order fulfilments are monitored 24/7 and resolved in near real-time.
  • Executing fiat-to-crypto trades and sending cryptocurrency to fulfilment wallets where necessary.
  • Measuring the costs of order fulfilment to identify opportunities to reduce these and to ensure that these are being recovered.
  • Optimising other performance metrics such as the auto-fulfilment rate and average fulfilment time.

 

Customer 

  • Collaborating with the Head of Customer Operations to ensure customer support teams are meeting SLAs and to forecast resources required to meet future transaction volumes.
  • Leading initiatives to improve processes that will minimise manual verifications of customers.

 

Payments 

  • Working with the Payments team to identify opportunities to minimise payment non-attempts, failed payment attempts and refunds.
  • Reviewing the performance of payment partners to identify opportunities to reduce costs.

 

You should apply if

  • Experience leading the operations of a technology business (beneficial if this business was global, a payment gateway or cryptocurrency business ) and over 10 years professional experience.
  • At the very least an interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain, very beneficial if you have experience with cryptocurrency or blockchain projects.
  • An understanding of online payments, fraud, AML/CTF or treasury would be very favourable, but not necessary.
  • Demonstrated direct team leadership experience and indirect team leadership of cross-functional resources.
