We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join our growing global Compliance team. This role is Remote.


Role Overview

Under the supervision of the Managing Director, the Compliance Manager will be responsible for the duties, responsibilities and obligations as listed below.


Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as the Company representative who is registered with Compliance and Regulatory bodies
  • Building and managing a team of global compliance professionals
  • Participating in the creation of policies, procedures and guides, and delivery of local training programs to staff
  • Providing expertise, guidance and leadership on all regulatory rules and regulations
  • Ensuring compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting are consistent with regulatory requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of the laws, regulations, rules, or other related industry regulatory standards and/or guidelines governing the industry
  • Communicating legal and regulatory requirements impacting the different lines of our business, and providing guidance from a compliance perspective
  • Executing KYC, KYT, AML, and other risk assessments as required
  • Providing support, guidance and execution of programs for non-AML regulatory requirements around Privacy and Complaints Handling, and other areas as necessary
  • Conducting risk and control mapping, and executing regulatory compliance management mapping
  • Responding to and participating in internal and external audit requests
  • Monitoring global regulatory and business developments, and revising policies and procedures as necessary in conjunction with the Managing Director and Global Compliance team
  • Working with other functional group leaders to ensure compliance as needed in accordance with the compliance program
  • When necessary, working with internal and external legal counsel on matters that require additional legal input and expertise
  • Writing, editing and participating in internal and external papers and articles on regulation and compliance
  • Other duties as required


Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent compliance experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in related roles
  • Professional compliance certification
  • Strong regulatory compliance experience and demonstrated skills in BSA/AML/CFT/OFAC, Privacy and Security, Consumer Protection and Federal/State regulatory management
  • Knowledge and experience in Digital Assets, Fintech, Payment Systems, Money Transmitter Licensing, or similar legal and regulatory requirements
  • Well-developed organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills which enable them to work effectively with all department members, and to collaborate with external auditors when needed
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to inform and educate employees, and to file correct and accurate compliance reports with Regulatory bodies
  • Adequate experience in risk management
