Reporting into the Director of Events/Operations, the Events Manager, which is a pivotal role within the marketing organization, has a fantastically bright future. You will have the ability to work independently, with direction, or collaboratively; and the ability to liaise directly with clients, international teams, and the leadership figureheads of the fintech growth industry.

We don’t like to limit ourselves – these live events will include marketing efforts, conferences, parties, socials, sporting events, industry trade shows, staff events and VIP events.

To be successful at this job you must have: serious attention to detail, excellent negotiation skills, bundles of creativity, second-to-none multi-tasking abilities, a positive attitude, and the drive to excel in all aspects of your work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Producing high-end conferences, from start to end.
  • Writing conference programs.
  • Inviting and liaising with speakers.
  • Researching, analysing, and effectively communicating via email & phone with key industry figures to determine the validity of the proposed topics for the conference.
  • Constantly keeping in touch with advisors and company Directors to ensure that the latest issues are addressed by the program.
  • Support & supervise the sales, sponsorship and marketing staff whilst working on the conferences.
  • Work with the different departments to organise event marketing, promotional campaign, publicity, brochures, articles, and any related campaigns.
  • Be part of any logistics planning, pre-event logistics management, as well as on-site and post-event logistics.
  • Produce reports based on the feedback received from the conference attendees and stakeholders to influence future events.
  • Develop and push each event forward, in all aspect, planning as well as execution.
  • Manage event specific budgets.

  • Positive energy that you bring into the workplace
  • 5+ years events experience.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects at once
  • Efficiency, experience, and detail oriented in planning and managing budgets.
  • Expertise in vendor negotiations and management with venues, hotels, event production companies & merchandisers.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs.
  • Exceptionally organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work within a team and independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal, people management and communication skills.
  • Positive with a can-do attitude!
  • Must be able to travel internationally and work outside of traditional office hours as required for events and/or global clients.
