Working with clients in fintech, blockchain and hospitality, Lightning Sharks offer our clients a full range of media services including content creation, SEO, social media management, PR, lifecycle and marketing automation, web/mobile development, video production, creative design, and business strategy.

We build and execute strategies to enable clients and our own internal teams to capitalise on opportunities, break through barriers to growth, and lead our respective fields. We celebrate leaders at all levels who take risks and create magic.

Our production and creative teams are based in London and Manila, composed of reporters, producers, writers, videographers, animators, and editors who pump out great content in the form of articles, short/long form documentaries and factual series, interviews, event coverage and social media videos.

What makes you stand out

You’ll be a detail-oriented Producer with excellent research capabilities who can produce multi-platform video content. As well as producing short form videos for socials and penning accompanying articles, you will have a special focus in documentary and other long-form projects such as talk and podcast shows.

The world of blockchain and other emerging technologies will genuinely interest you and you’ll be eager to deep dive into these areas. Don’t worry if this is a new area for you though; we’re looking for someone with the journalistic skills to get to grips with the subject, finding the engaging elements that make it accessible to wider audiences.

There is also an opportunity to travel internationally, providing production support on documentary shoots and producing event coverage news segments, so you will need to love going abroad and seeing the world!

We will count on you to

• Provide administrative and creative support to senior producers, assist with production management, organise production activities throughout the filmmaking process
• Supervise short-form video edits from production to approval and delivery
• Write news and feature articles based on videos you have produced
• Fact check, research and once up to speed with the subject matter, pitch story angles, formulate interview questions and write video scripts
• Set up shoots, coordinating with other members of the crew and production team as well as contributors/interviewees, executive assistants, government officials, PR, vendors and suppliers
• Create and/or implement production plans, including scheduling and handling logistics in the field
• Assist with creating, sharing and managing production documents and files, keeping research materials and project budget trackers up to date
• Schedule meetings with production partners across multiple time zones
• Outsource crew, equipment, supplies as needed, liaising with the travel department to book crew accommodation/travel/visa arrangements, assisting producers with processing invoices
• Keep up to date with dramatic movements in the space across Twitter

• Proven experience as a producer – whether in news or a commercial environment
• Background in broadcast journalism
