Possessing a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits, the Android Developer will be working in parallel with other members of the technology team. The Android Developer will be involved with the research, design, coding, and testing associated with the Mijem Android app. You are a great match if you are the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Android Developer: you will be responsible for the following:

  • Coding involves Java and may involve Javascript
  • Monitor new technologies and assess their potential to become new products or services and work closely with product development
  • Other duties not mentioned may be required from time to time

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Master’s degree is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of: Java, Javascript and experience with native Android app development
  • Strong understanding how technical systems operate – from front end to back end
  • Experience with UIKit, CoreData, CoreGraphics, XML / JSON, storyboards
  • Experience with 3rd party libraries and APIs; experience publishing app in app stores
  • Experience with agile software development methodology
  • Strong team work skills with a passion for code quality and adherence to standards
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in an environment involving multiple priorities
  • Curious, energetic, loves to tackle technical challenges – willingness to learn solutions that exist
  • Familiarity with: Sails.js, Node.js, MongoDB, Gitlab, Angular, AWS, Bower, jQuery, REST, HTML, CSS, Firebase
